Car Park and North Wales Kitesurfing meeting point St Asaph Avenue

Sandy Cove Kitesurfing Beach

We are based in Kinmel Bay North Wales which is four hours from London, two hours from Birmingham, and one hour from Chester. The kitesurfing lessons take place on a quiet  beach which stretches for miles in both directions, and we train in all wind directions. The quiet flat Beach makes it a safe area to learn the kite flying before progressing to the water. Kinmel Bay is a fine, north-facing, sandy beach fronted on the landward side by a narrow promenade and sea wall along its entire length. Access to the beach is across the promenade from an extensive tarmac car park located on St Asaph Avenue at the rear of the ASDA store. Toilet and café are situated on the seaward side of the car park. Kinmel dunes local nature reserve fronts onto the landward side of the promenade. There is free parking here this is the meeting point for your kitesurfing lessons.

North Wales Kitesurfing Training Area

North Rebel Kites, loads of space!

Equipment/ North Rebel Kites

We will be teaching with brand new North Rebel 07 Kites. These Kites come recommended by North Kiteboarding for school teaching, and we have 12 of them in sizes 5m, 7m, 9m, 10m, and 12m. These Kites have a huge de-power range, and because of the 5th line they will take off and fly in light winds. this means you will have more time learning, and less time waiting on the beach for wind.

Equipment/Kiteboards

We have 4 Beginners Kiteboards for you to learn your water starts on. These are North Defender, and North Dragon Kiteboards. We can also use these boards for Wake boarding which will help you with your water starting, which will improve your riding skills.

We also have 12 Gul 50n Buoyancy Aids in different sizes to fit all clients. Whilst learning Kitesurfing it is essential to wear the correct safety equipment whilst in the water.

We will also provide helmets which must be worn when learning to water start.

We will also provide you with North Performer Harnesses, again we have sizes to fit all clients. If you have your own Wetsuit etc, please feel free to bring it along if you would like to use it. We do recommend that you purchase a pair of neoprene Boots and Gloves for your course.
